Each March, the Dietitians of Canada launch their yearly Nutrition Month Campaign in the hopes of inspiring better eating habits and lifestyle choices among Canadians.

NDO Creative teamed up with Ward 1 Studios to creative direct their Nutrition Month 2017 March Campaign in terms of strategy, copywriting, and design.

  • Develop a series of 10-15 second videos illustrating popular dietary problems and solutions among Canadians.

  • Generate campaign messaging encouraging Canadians to visit the Nutrition Month 2017 landing page and sign-up.

  • Create PDF's, infographics, and other design collateral to provide tips on healthy eating habits.

For the month-long period, NDO Creative worked with Ward 1 Studios on creating a campaign strategy and concept for Nutrition Month 2017: "Taking the fight out of food."

The idea was to play on the concept of a food fight: most Canadians struggle with making healthy dietary habits, so we decided to encourage them to take the struggle–or fight–out of their food choices, by spotting their problem areas, getting the right information, and signing up for the right support through the Dietitians of Canada's website.

Nutrition Month 2017 was a success! The primary "food fight" ad played in Yonge-Dundas Square for the summer, while each of the videos below were distributed across the Dietitians of Canada's digital channels. View the final product here.

closing statement

Admittedly, this was one of the most fun campaigns NDO Creative has ever done. Namely because the vision for the campaign perfectly matched the outcome and because we were able to collaborate with our pals at Ward 1 Studios (we love to collaborate, by the way).
